Orangemen are members of The Orange Order - a movement primarily popular in Northern Ireland. They are a Protestant Unionist group who march around wearing bowler hats, being proud to be *British* and antagonising Irish Catholics.

They are named for the Dutch Protestant, William of Orange, who defeated the Catholic, James II at the Battle of Boyne (Thanks to Wikipedia for that part)

Oh, what a lovely hat! I think everyone should have one just like it. :p I personally went for a red bucket hat this morning.
