There seems to be lots of spammers joining recently

I may be wrong but it just seems that a lot of spammers have been joining the forum of late.

If you can tell them to stop doing that, I'd be grateful :|

I thought you might have a way of stopping them from coming. Like magic or something. Just sometimes there are new people who have joined with spammer-type names and spammery signatures.

I have a spam blocker. But it only blocks spam in posts, not profiles. I do delete all spam accounts, but it takes up a lot of time. :-(

That's a pity. I thought webmasters were all-powerful or something. Can't there be some website that specialises in eradicating them? I don't even get what spam is for. It's to sell creepy things, right? Why are they even spamming this site of all places?

They put links to websites in their profiles. The more links a site has, the higher it ranks in Google. Of course it is best to get links at relevant sites, but quantity counts as well, so they'll also spam this site.

Wait, so am I a spammer by putting a link in my profile?

It's about the intention.
