The Possible Scottish Roots of Tweedle Dee and Dum

Postby Mad Hatter II » Sat Aug 15, 2020 8:54 am

I was browsing online when I found this interesting article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquess_of_Tweeddale isn't it odd how close Tweedale and Tweedle are to each other?

Interesting!

The characters in TTLG are based on a nursery rhyme though. It is hard to track the origins of these rhymes, they often go back more than is documented. Perhaps the rhyme has a link to the name.
