Rating: - Nice for restaurants and waiting areas
This small set is about the size of a bagel (but it smells like cherry pie). Inside you will find, a magnetic doll, pie, lipstick, purse, dress rack, and hot air balloon. The set is supposed to be a small boutique. Built in are a dressing room and closet, display shelf, and counter with cash register. The packaging states that the register is magnetically opened by the doll. Mine does not work :( If the register is closed, I have to tip it on its side and whack it open. Fun. There is a red carpet walkway, which is also magnetized. I appreciate this feature for going places (e.g. in the car, restaurants). This is a small toy that is unobtrusive enough to stay in the car. Although, tanagrams are still my family favorite for this purpose. The bracelet actually breaks apart (fruit beads can be popped apart and reassembled). This is a really nice touch. The bracelet is held closed by two magnetic pie beads. The hot air balloon can be sandwiched between the pie beads as well for a dangle look. One major problem with this set is that it is ridiculously difficult to close. The hot air balloon must be in just the right orientation to close. Since the pieces are so small and easily lost, one poor closure - pop it opens, and you will have a very upset little girl. The bracelet will NOT fit inside the set, which is another negative since that's a great activity. To overcome this, I would recommend keeping the toy and bracelet in a sandwich bag - less cute, but headache-free. The price - less than four dollars - is fair. I would recommend this at this price but not more than this.

Rating: - Cute little set....great "add on" present
We got this on the pre-Christmas toy sale for about two bucks. I was hesitant because there were no reviews and I didn't know what I'd be getting. On some of the pre-Christmas deals, we were THRILLED and on some, we were very disappointed, even at the discounted price. This set is one we were thrilled to get for the price - I wish I ordered more. It was a very good deal for two bucks. It is a cute set that a little girl would think was really neat. It is small, so I wouldn't pay full price or give it for a main present, but, for around four bucks or less, it is a cute little set to give with another gift. The bracelet is a bracelet, not a necklace - that gives you some idea as to size and the pieces are very small. However, the packaging is nice. This would be an excellent stocking stuffer for a child old enough to play with small parts. I hadn't noticed but it does say Strawberry Shortcake on the packaging and there is a nice smell that you can smell even outside the package. I think the girls we bought these for will really be thrilled and will keep this set all together in their purses. So, all in all, this is one of those we were THRILLED to get for two bucks, but I wouldn't pay full price - it is definitely an "add on" type gift - but a very nice one.
