I bought these for my wife for christmas. I ended up buying her 3 different brands of high stripped socks and these were her third favorite. She liked them but they were not as thick as the multi colored ones. They also do not stay up as well as the multicolored ones.

The past couple pairs of plain, regular thigh highs I've had have left marks (almost like a rash or burn) from the elastic at the top, but I find these very comfortable.
