Alice in Wonderland allows players to guide, protect and aid Alice as she journeys through the world of Underland while unraveling the game’s many twisted mysteries. Along the way, players call on a diverse cast of characters such as the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat, who each have unique abilities to help evade traps and solve challenging puzzles.

The Mad Hatter can help Alice alter her perception of Underland and take advantage of optical illusions to open up places in the world the player alone would not have noticed. Meanwhile, the Cheshire Cat can use his ability to make himself and objects appear and disappear helping Alice through this strange world. Players must choose wisely when using each of the characters’ powers and combine the abilities to solve more complex puzzles.

The Wii and PC versions follow the film’s epic storyline and introduce new fiction and locations. With an upgradeable combat system, players collect “impossible ideas” to replay levels and unlock Underland’s secrets. Players must carefully select the supporting characters and their abilities to defeat the numerous enemies set forth by the Red Queen and her army of cards, destroy the Jabberwocky and restore Underland back into Wonderland.

Rating: - Very Cool.
I got this game for my GF and she loves it. I watched her play it for several hours and found myself addicted to it by just watching. I love these style of games in general and this version on the Wii is most excellent. The graphics are solid, the voice over's by the actual actors are great, the controls are fluent and the story and game play is top notch. A great game for fans and gamers looking for a cool adventure game.

Rating: - Creative but so-so visuals
Basically a mini-movie with games throughout, this Wii offering has both good and bad qualities. The game is very plot-driven. Based on the new Alice in Wonderland movie by Tim Burton, the story revolves around Alice, who once again tumbles down the rabbit hole 10 years after she does as a child. In the interim Wonderland has been plundered by the Red Queen and her evil minion the Jabberwocky. Alice helps the Underland Underground Resistance -- including the Cheshire Cat, the Dormouse, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the White Rabbit -- fight to save Wonderland. Game players help Alice battle the Red Queen's forces and find the famous Vorpal Sword. Each Underland character gives players a special ability: The Cheshire Cat turns you invisible or makes objects appear or disappear, the Dormouse gives you sword skills and makes you lightning quick, the Mad Hatter lets you create optical illusions by lining up objects, the March Hare lets you use your mind to throw objects, and the White Rabbit lets you alter time or slow your enemies. Options include setting the SFX, music and voice volume; turning subtitles on or off; choosing the game language (English, French or Spanish); and changing the camera axis. You can choose whether to play alone or with a friend. Pros: The story is interesting and creative, and there are lots of levels of play. Cons: The play is pretty basic fighting for the most part. You travel through Alice's adventures, stopping occasionally to fight off the bad guys. Visuals are odd and distracting, with awkwardly rendered 3-D objects and figures. The colors used are not pleasing to look at, gaudy and laser-like, with little subtlety. It's hard to understand what the characters say, so it's good there are subtitles you can turn on.
