I'm not sure if this will be useful or not, seeing as I haven't been able to find any of the issues, but I know that there's a few issues of the old Batman comics where one of the villians calls herself The White Rabbit and says interesting things like "Lewis Carrol saved my life".

Oh! I almost forgot! The awsome manga creators CLAMP made a version of Alice called Miyuki-chan in Wonderland. I have yet to pick up the manga and I'm still looking for the anime, but it's another thing that I think may have some new characters. What I know for sure is that all the characters are female and all want to get "a piece" of poor Miyuki.
lol i just googled it
The other Carroll characters are all depicted as attractive females, and as Miyuki-chan encounters each of them, they perform a familiar dance in which they ask her name, she answers "Miyuki desu," and then they try to get fresh with her.
lol that's halarious. i think imma find a copy just out of curiousity.

I have come across a comic book called Lullaby: Wisdom Seeker which involves characters from fairytales who have to defeat some dark force that has taken over their land, a team of heroes: Alice (from Wonderland), Pied Piper, Jim Hawkins, Little Red Riding Hood to name but a few are the ones wh set off to help their world.
Piecraft:
I mentioned this comic previously in this topic... If anyone is interested, you can find the series at (now into #4 and I would guess they will be most difficult to find soon):

http://silverbulletcomics.com/search.ph ... &image.y=0 (Is it ok to post this info here, Lenny?)

This source for Lullaby Wisdom Seeker (not to be confused with Arsenic Lullaby which is humerous but definitely NOT Alice) is great and they discount them.

Sorry about that, I remember having looked it up from your source - but I guess after a few days I forgot about it. However I will be looking into it again. How are you liking it?

Piecraft:

The Lullaby - Wisdom Seeker series is eye-candy for a comic lover's soul! Love the format galloping across the pages... 4-color cover to cover although a little dark in an 'anime/manga' sort of way.

Story-line is... ummm... 'typically adventurous' having protagonists Alice, Riding Hood, Jim Hawkins, and Pinocchio on a quest to save the world from evil, of course. And while written for 'all ages', it might be a little difficult for youngsters to follow as it meanders in the helter-skelter fashion embraced by the comics of today. But then the under 12's are far more astute than I, fer sure. Each time I reread them though, I find something delightful I've previously missed in the graphics... Over and over again.

The illustrations are awesome, imop... Intricate, colorful, and imaginative... Worthy of a spot admist anyone's collection of illustrators.

In addition... For the comic book lovers:

Lela Dowling's The Dreamery series (Eclipse Comics 2-7 issues), while illustrated charmingly in black & white, has terrific full color covers. Now extremely difficult to find but About Comics has re-issued a compilation in a 'trade paperback' (ISBN: 0-9716338-3-5) which also has full color front and back covers.

Certainly NOT Lullaby but of a 'Mad Comics' style and more 'in keeping' with Carroll's original AIW... It WILL make you smile, fer sure.

If it's not too much hassle please feel free to list the characters that are from the Lullaby comics on here - it would be interesting to have a list of them.

I've basically decided to make this topic the list of ALL LISTS relating to characters that are found in Carroll's Alice or non-Alice literature as well as other Alice related literature. Feel free to add on, it will be a good archive for researchers, writers and interested readers.

I will try to get my copies of Lullaby as soon as I can :)

No small task you chosen, Piecraft... To list the characters in Alice-related 'literature' might turn out to be seemingly endless. How about these?

Little Max - A Joe Palooka Magazine - Harvey Comics - Dec 1957 No. 50 - "Little Max Meets Alice in Wonderland"

The Friendly Ghost Casper - Tempo Books - 1964-74 - "Casper and Wendy in Wonderland"

Captain Carrot & His Amazing Zoo Crew - DC - Jan 1986 No. 1 - "The Oz-Wonderland War Trilogy "

Lisa Comics - Bongo Comics Group - 1995 #1 - "Lisa in Wordland" (yes... Bart's Sister)

And for you adult Goth fans:

Razor / Switchblade Symphony - London Night Studios - 1997 - "Tears" (a 'spin ' on Alice with similarities you really have to squint to find... might have given the McGee group a nudge of creativity)

Hope this helps with your research list, Piecraft. As you can see, the characters ARE endless... And this is just the edge of it. Still willing to take it on? :?

I think perhaps there should be a restriction to the list - for instance only adding literature, movies or any other related media which are directly related to Alice and/or Wonderland in context. In other words the Lisa in Wonderland story would not be considered to be added to the list because it is crossing over two fictional worlds from two different eras. However The Oz-Wonderland War Trilogy would be included into the list because it describes characters and worlds from the same era and that are based around the same themes and genres.

Uh oh... A restricted list sounds like another job for... ummm.... Rule 42.

I dunno, Piecraft. I guess Captain Carrot and his Zoo Crew and their Oz-Wonderland War adventure could loosely be of the same 'era, theme, and genre' (where does that put Lullaby?)... Sooo...:

Captain Carrot
Rubberduck
Pig-Iron
Alley-Kat-Abra
Yankee Poodle
Fastback
Little Cheese
Prof. H.M. Wogglebug
The Hungry Tiger
Cheshire Cat
Red Queen
White Queen
White Knight
Lion
Unicorn
Tweedle Dee
Tweedle Dum
Queen of Hearts
King of Hearts
Card Guards
Frog Footman
Herald Rabbit
March Hare
Mad Hatter
Mock Turtle
Gryphon
Duchess & Baby
Cook
Dodo
Dormouse
Hedgehog
Flamingo
Glinda the Good
Scarecrow
Nick Chopper
Cowardly Lion
Mouse Queen of Oz
Ozma
TheWizard
Roquat of the Rocks
Purple Dragon
Gigaboo
Kalidah
General Jinjur
Jellia Jamb
And Dorothy Gale (who looks amazingly like Alice).

Poor Frank and Lewis must be rolling, fer sure (my deepest apologies).

Maybe comic book characters who find their way into Wonderland might not be exactly what you're looking for in your listing? (although I find them extremely creative and highly amusing and applaud the geniuses who continue to entertain me with new adventures based on the story and characters I love)

(Sorry Piecraft... Couldn't resist... I'll stop now) ;)

If Lewis Carroll was still rolling in his grave every time someone did bizarre things with Alice, he must have moved several metres by now....
