Did Lewis Carroll own any horses?

Postby Lewis Carrie » Mon Oct 24, 2011 9:18 pm

Does anyone know if Carroll owned any hoses? I know that almost everyone did back then, but I'm just curious. He must have ridden a horse at least once in his life if he based the White Knight after himself.

I've never heard any mention of him having one. I don't know that all that many people did have them and just because the White Knight is often considered to be a representation, I don't think it could be said that he must have ridden. ;)

There is no recorded entry about owning any horses. He walked and use the train.

Of course he had used a carriage but none of them were his.

The character comes from a chess piece. Not if he had rid a horse or not.
