Alice's Yellow Dress
I am looking to do a production of Alice in Wonderland and would like to use her yellow dress, but there doesn't seem to be many pictures of it..Can someone help me with a costume concept or pattern for the yellow dress?

Are you referring to the yellow dress in the Hallmark movie version?
You also might want to check this page, which has pictures of various costumes (such as Lenny in her yellow dress): http://www.alice-in-wonderland.net/fun/ ... ideas.html

I'm afraid I can't help with a costume concept or a pattern, but you can see all of Tenniel's original pictures of the yellow dress in the Nursery Alice here

And better quality versions of (most of) those pictures here. (Click to enlarge)

Here you can see more pictures of my yellow dress: viewtopic.php?t=2754
I used the McCall's M4948 pattern for a basis: http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m4948-p ... age_id=915
You won't find any exact patterns for Alice's dress. Pick one that resembles it most and make adaptions where necessary.
Also, there's no such thing as 'the' yellow dress. In the Nursery Alice, her dress is yellow/orangish. As the original images are black and white, we don't know whether this dress was also intended to be yellow. Or blue (see this discussion: viewtopic.php?t=2726). Anyway, if you look closely at the illustrations, you can see that the dress Alice wears in AAiW is different from the one in TtLG, and in the Nursery Alice it is again another model...

Alice's Dress
Thanks everyone, yes the dress from the Hallmark version is what I was referring too. I know that it is a debate as to whether the dress is blue or yellowish orange. I also like the dress that was made for the bridal shower, great idea by the way.

Thank you!
The most prominent differences between my dress and the Hallmark one are:
- more shiny fabric
- no collar
- no ruffles on the apron
- black strips of fabric in stead of pleads above the hem
The hardest thing was figuring out how to attach the apron in the back, because there are hardly any images of that. The pattern just integrates the schoulder straps in the shoulder seam, but I wanted a detachable apron so I altered the pattern. I don't know if that matters for you.
