Miscellaneous Alice > i have an alternate version of alice in wonderland

Since i was young i have heard the story of alice, my grandfather read it to me often. The version he read from was a turn of the century publication. As a teenager i read and reread the same book. After moving from home i bought alices adventures in wonderland. It was not the same story as in my granpas book. I have children now and would like to share with them the story i grew up with, but have never been able to find a version that matched. I have bought many versions none of them are the same as that original... Can someone help me please?!?!?

In what way was yours different from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland?

It had different, slightly more eloquent descriptions of Alices adventures. And though it was mostly the same story, it had tweedledee and tweedledum in it also.

It's difficult to say without more details, but if it featured Tweedle Dum & Dee, it might have been the book of the Disney version

^That book at that link is a more recent picture book (2008) meant to show Mary Blair's artwork, so I'm guessing that it's not the one you're looking for. Although, if it had the Tweedles, it could very possibly have been put out by Disney.

Did the version you're trying to find have the Tenniel illustrations in it?
