Has Anyone Read The Looking Glass Wars?
I'm currently reading it, and I find it amazing. :] I thought it might be a bit heavy reading for a 13 year old, but I'm really enjoying it. Anyone else read it, and has an opinion?

Linex...
I'm glad you're enjoying Looking Glass Wars... In addition, Hatter M continues in a 4/part comic. #1 is now available for purchase... #2 & #3 on preorder only. #4 yet to be determined. Frank Bedder is interesting, fer sure. And Ben Templesmith's art is dark but fantastic. I use silverbulletcomics as a good, safe comicbook source.

I know this may be a bit off- topic but look how "the Looking Glass Wars" and "the Lion King" compare to each other
:
A) The main characters are destined to be rulers in their own lands.
(Alyss will be a queen; Simba "can't wait to be king".)
B) The main villains killed the protagonists' parents and became tyrants.
(Redd killed Alyss' parents; Scar killed Mufasa)
3) The main characters both have love interests.
(Alyss has Dodge; Simba has Nala)
4) Both of them were cast out of their lands, but they came back, kicked the bad guys' asses, and became the rightful rulers.
What do you think?

5) The protagonists see their dead parents' ghosts, and are told they are 'in them'.
6) Scar is Simba's uncle, Redd is Alyss' aunt.
7) Wise baboon vs wise caterpillar.
8) Both Bibwit and Zazu are the protagonist's tutor who is frettered, annoying and ends up as the victim of prat falls.
9) Both Lewis Carroll and Timon and Pumbaa are childish, carefree idiots who make the protagonist forget their kingdoms.

Words, Words, Words.
And the lion king is apparently a spin-off of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Strange... I seriously did not get this relationship until I read Hamlet. The Lion King isn't a tragedy!!! >8(I know this may be a bit off- topic but look how "the Looking Glass Wars" and "the Lion King" compare to each other:
Interesting to see so many fans of this particular franchise, I'd assume most fans would discard it as trash, but clearly it's a homage to the original books, though it disregards them for the sake of a plot. I see some negativity, but for the most part it seems to be positive feedback. I MIGHT, MIGHT skim read it XD
And it's apparently sane. I mean, come on, the original wonderland wasn manic fun, and made little sense. If someone tries to make sense of wonderland they will fail, fail, fail XD That's missing the point entirely. Well, my question has been answered. Don't know why I started a seperate topic for this. Guess it's because I'm a noooob.
