I'd noticed it when I first heard about it.

There are a lot of homages to the Alice and Oz books. They, along with the myths that first inspired them, were a big influence on Del Toro. There was even a homage to Spirited Away and the 1995 film version of A Little Princess.

I loved the movie, needless to say.

I want to see it, but my dad says it is too 'dark'. That is also what he says about the Alice PC game. It's somtetimes very boring having an over protective dad, but, it has its ups too.

AIW:-)

very good movie... 8/10
the spanish accent makes the movie overcome the traditional scripts. it makes it more interesting.
in my opinion this is a movie targeted to audience 12+... at least. cause it has some scary parts/blood/shooting etc etc.

I like it...but it was too much drama going on and the fantasy scenes were not to much in the movie... i expected a bit more of the "other world" interactions with the girl. more of the fantasy scenes.
but i recommend it to anyone :-)

One of the best fantasy films ever made, to me.
If the director of the film Del Toro were to make an adaptation of Alice, i think it would capture the same eerie wonder to it.

I really love this film and need to rewatch it eventually. I think it has some "Alice vibe", though it's darker.
