i always shunned the fact that people thought carroll was a pedophile and i've seen the photographs carroll took of alice and her sisters, as well as others, that people took as "proof" he was inappropriate with them, and I never thought they condemned him (they were hardly "inappropraite" by today's standards; they looked more like art).

Hahahahahahaaaa! I saw that photo before! It's fake indeed. Take a look at where Alice's hand is on Lewis Carroll's collar. The edges are way too hard to be part of a real photo. In fact, there are a lot of eges on this that aren't smooth enough for an actual photo and look pretty much cut..

More seriously, this is the kind of thing folks get prosecuted for having on their computers in this country! I don't know what site you got this from, but it is no excuse saying it is manipulated because certainly in the UK you can get prosecuted for having faked up child porn or links to it on your machine. I seriously think Lenny should remove it, and not take the risk of police or anyone deciding it is obscene or paedophiliac. Needless to say it is nothing whatever to do with Carroll, it is the product of some modern person's weird mind.

Hey not your fault!!!!!! Since you thought it could be real it was very understandable you would want to ask other people about it.
I had an email from Lenny who runs the site and he said although it is distasteful it's not actually posted on the site, it's only a link. Also, he doesn't think it's porn. If it was me I would not test that opinion in the courts, but I'm taking the line that he knows best, as he has run this site for a long while and it is a good site.
