Amazon.com Review:
Alice in Wonderland is a story most adults know, and one that children always seem delighted to discover. This CD-ROM version combines elements from the story with educational activities and games, and is designed for children age 8 and older. Each user logs on with their own name, so several family members can use Alice in Wonderland at their own pace. The CD-ROM begins with Alice following the White Rabbit down his famous hole, and arriving at the hall of doors--the first of ten magical worlds she will encounter. There are riddles and problems behind some of the doors in this hallway, and you have to help Alice complete them to gain items or information she'll need later on. And, of course, you'll get to play with the "drink me" and "eat me" options that fans of the book will remember. Alice in Wonderland continues in the same vein throughout, and features many characters from the book--the Cheshire Cat is on hand to provide help, while you'll also meet the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, and others. In true Alice in Wonderland style, Alice herself is a real (virtual) girl, while the other characters are all animated. Alice in Wonderland flows well, and this multimedia fairy tale is an interesting example of making an educational CD from a children's classic story. --Sandra Vogel, Amazon.co.uk

- My family loves this. Our family played this together. It takes about 5 hours to run through quickly. It is very entertaining and we have played it a number of times since. It works wonderfully on my XP system as well! The story is cleverly told and the graphics are simply perfect. Even by todays standards. The live action Alice character was cute and spunky. She , in our opinion, was the ideal Alice for this particular presentation. My family and i enjoyed every aspect of this program. I would tell anyone i know to get this.
Rating:
- It is nothing special and much too short.Although the graphics and backdrops are well done (much like the art in finer children's books) the puzzles are simple and the game is too short. An adult could easily complete it 2-3 hours and it has little or no replay value. Also, some of the dialog is corny and dumb and the character of Alice does not meet the standards one would hope for or expect. It is somewhat dissapointing over all.
