Make your own teacup cake stand

Tiered cake stands made of upcycled teacups and saucers are very popular – and perfect for a Mad Tea Party! They’re actually really easy to make. Let me show you how it’s done!

The first thing to do is scoure thrift shops for cute, old fashioned tea cups and saucers. You’ll want to mix and match: combine cups of a certain design with saucers of a different design, but do try to make them go together in a certain way. Match by color, type of decoration, rim design, or some other aspect.

Alice in Wonderland Halloween ideas

Yay, it’s almost time to prepare for Halloween again! Have you considered doing an Alice in Wonderland theme for this year’s Halloween? Then let these Alice in Wonderland Halloween ideas inspire you!

Although the Alice in Wonderland story is most often associated with crazyness, it can be turned into a scary theme as well. Make it ‘Malice in Wonderland’! Or for example center it around the Queen of Hearts, who is so fond of beheading people. Yell “Off with your head!!” to everyone who dares to ring your doorbell!

Tim Burton’s live action movie is a little darker than the original story, so you could pick that as a theme. The game “American McGee’s Alice” and its follow-up “Alice: Madness Returns” is even more dark, so this is also a good source of inspiration:
