In a couple of hours, my site will be moved to a new server. This may cause some downtime. I expect the website to be up and running again soon, so check back in an hour or so.
Hopefully the new server will be faster than the current one, which will make this website load faster.
For those of you who have come here before, it may have been quite a shock. But yes, I have a new website!
I’ve had the old design for years and years and an update was long overdue. The most urgent reasons were that I wanted a webshop system that was more easy to manage, and also that the old design was not mobile friendly.
The old site
As this year is the Alice in Wonderland story’s 150th birthday, I decided to celebrate it by giving you and me this new site as a present. 🙂
Until now, I’ve always done my own designs. But now that I was facing the daunting task of transferring the site to WordPress, which meant having to learn how to make templates for this type of CMS, I realised it might be better to outsource it to people who actually know what they’re doing. 😉 So a big thank you to 4Bit webdesign for creating this!
I’m not 100% satisfied with the current design yet, but as Halloween is quickly approaching, I wanted to have the new site live before the Halloween shopping season starts. In the future you will probably see some more slight design changes.
